blog.1aauto.com is giving Hooniverse competition on great stories and interesting rare stuff, like this red Delorean, and 76 Road Runner

In 1982, Delorean Cadillac in Cleveland Ohio had some Delorean’s on the lot that they were having trouble selling. Rather than giving them away at a loss or sitting on them forever, they decided they might sell if they were more colorful. The problem is painting stainless. So Delorean Cadillac had PPG come up with a paint that would adhere to the stainless. They succeeded and before long, several DMC’s were painted a variety of fun colors like red, purple, and blue. http://blog.1aauto.com/2011/06/30/you-want-to-see-the-candy-apple-red-delorean/#more-6395

the El Cajon cruise on every Wednesday night is back on for the summer, here are some of the interesting things I saw

Everytime I see the El Guapo taxi I notice something new, this time I found the rear license plate cool... for the galleries I took of it last year so you can see the interior and the progession : http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/02/another-look-at-el-guapo-paint-has-been.html

BigLorryBlog was deploring all the old stuff getting bought for scrap. But not where I roam!

http://www.roadtransport.com/blogs/big-lorry-blog/2008/06/classic-cars-and-trucks-crushe.html says that he has been looking at abandoned autos for over a decade.. the stuff he maust have seen that would blow my mind...

'46 Packard

40's Chevrolet factory convertible... gotta be rare, yes?
Pontiac

I'll be back for a better photo, but I was in a hurry, and shot from the street

57 Bel Air wagon.
Mach 1... a 71 or 72 I think
55? I think so
No GTO badges, or any other badges at all.
This DeLorean has been there over a year, and they want to get rid of it.

From 20 feet this looks factory fresh. A bit of rust appears when you look closer
67 or 68 Camaro

No doubt this is cool to find.. but in a shop in the hood? That's where it is, and the Rottweiler isn't happy about me poking the camera lens over the fence to get the shot... my thanks to the maker of big gate holding chain.
